Hi Wendy, I just wanted to write to tell you how pleased we are with Molly, she's an amazing dog with a wonderful personality. She has fit in perfectly to our home. I've never met a more loving calm and SMART dog in my life. She's just over four months old and has easily mastered: sit stay, lay down, come, she'll bark once or twice to go outside to do her "business" she gets along great with other dogs and most of all with our kids; 15, 11, and 4. She thinks she's one of them. She never wines, and barks only when she want's to communicate something (go outside, or some body at the door) and she'll only bark once or twice. Everywhere we bring her people stop us and tell us how beautiful she is and they always comment on how calm she is for a puppy. Our puppy buying experience with Sportsman Poodles was perfect from start to finish. From going to meet Sassy and Spencer (the parents) to following the pregnancy, birth, puppy pictures, and movies on Facebook, to Meeting you and Jade and Len and all the dogs. You were so warm and accommodating to our many visits with the puppies. We felt Molly was coming from a very loving home and we knew she was being loved and being well looked after by you until we took her home. Please feel free to post this on your website as a testimonial We would not hesitate to recommend Sportsman Standard Poodles as the best choice for anyone interested in a wonderful family pet. Thank you very much Wendy for everything, we will continue to follow your Facebook page and we will continue to post updates of Molly. Sincerely Charlie Owens Moncton, NB
Dear Wendy, Len and Jade, Jude (from Prada and Spencer's May 2013 litter) has been with us for just over 6 months now and he is doing exceptionally well. As you know, he was accepted by Therapeutic Medical Alert Service Dogs to train to become a medical assistance companion. I am guided very closely by the Director of this organization, and she is very impressed with Jude's progress. I was not at all surprised at his intelligence, since he is our second Standard Poodle from Sportsman. Sunny is 1 1/2 years old now and is the epitome of calm. He is very laid back yet comical, highly intelligent and it takes him only a couple of repetitions to learn something new. As I mentioned to you, I am going to be teaching Sunny how to paint pictures and I know it will be a pleasure to do. I anticipate that next year this time, he will be at the mall painting pictures for Christmas gifts!!! So having Jude on board brought few surprises, yet unlike our pet dogs, Jude is trained to do specific tasks. Of course we have taught him the basic obedience commands, but he is also being taught how to open doors (by using the button for the less-abled), will be turning on/off lights when he is tall enough (he has the motion down pat!), is well on his way to being able to find the exit when in a building, is working on the "go to" command, and is now learning what the telephone is and how to select it from a group of objects. Training is always positive and fun and Jude responds and gives behaviors quickly. He is very well known around town, as he accompanies me everywhere with his little yellow vest. If he ISN'T with me, people always ask about him. We have three dogs in our pack, the eldest being Beau our beautiful 4 year old Goldendoodle. All my dogs get along exceptionally well and know their place in the pack. Choosing well-bred, calm and sound dogs is so important, and that is why I do not hesitate to recomment Sportsman to anyone looking to purchase a Standard Poodle or Aussiedoodle. Thank you for the love and attention you give to your breeding program. Here are my three boys, along with Baby Eva (from Buddy and Sassy), another puppy in training with Therapeutic Medical Assistance Service Dogs! Paula Sears
Hi Wendy!
All is going so well. Sorry we only got to emailing you now, but we've been busy as you can expect!
We absolutely love Moose! He is now getting close to 5 months, give or take, and is such a smart boy. He is fearless like you said, very brave and a daredevil so to speak. We were amazed how fast he took on the challenges of a young pup. Day 2 he knew how to 'sit' and was up and down the stairs and snowbanks. He loves to chew bones, and has a favorite deer antler. He is a quick little guy chasing his ball on a rope too.
Nothing seems to scare him and he became more and more social everyday. He likes when we get visits from our neighbors and their canine family members. He is a natural adventurer, we bring him on walks everyday and he likes a good free run in the woods. On every walk we take him, people noticeably stare or will stop us altogether and let us know just how handsome he is. He's quite respectful of the people that may pass by and knows when he is invited to say 'hello'.
It took a few weeks but he is completely house trained and let's us know by waiting patiently by the door. We also trained him to not jump on people when they come in the door. He is now very used to his crate with the help of a big comfortable bed. We feed all of his food in there so now when he gets tired or hungry he goes straight in.
All in all Paula and I could not be happier with the new addition to our family. We want to thank you for the fantastic experience of selecting our first ever puppy. I think we lucked out.
PS - Multiple people have asked us where we got Moose, you may get a few phone calls :)
We will update you again in the near future!
Stephen, Paula and Moose.
Hi Wendy,
I just wanted to write and say how happy we are with Lexi. She is
such a sweet, lovable and agreeable dog. She is the first dog we have as a
pup and we couldn't be happier with how easy she is to
train. From the time we brought her home within a few days she had
sit, lay down, and stay down pact. We were pretty amazed by that.
She loves going for walks, and her favorite thing to do is play fetch with her
ball. When we're just out and about in the yard she knows her boundaries
and stays within them, which is nice because she can hang out with us
without being tied and it gives her the freedom to run around and play. We
don't leave her out un-tied if we're not out with her though, just in case she
gets distracted and wanders away.
She's about 35 lbs now at 5 months old, and I have to say, she's the
biggest lap dog I've ever had haha. She loves to get up on the sofa with
me and cuddle. As soon as I sit down, she's right there with me, and I
just love that. We bought her a dog bed but the cat has claimed it.
So if she doesn't get to her bed before the cat does
we will often find her asleep on the floor next to her bed. She's just so
easy going.
Oh, one funny thing about her, up until maybe 2
weeks ago she just refused to go up or down the stairs. We would have to
carry her up and down the stairs every time she had to
go potty. We tried tempting her with treats and praise and just no way
would she go. Then one day the cat escaped as i opened the door and Lexi
went out after her and before I or even she knew it , she was down the
stairs and thankfully ever since she'll go up and down on her own now. It
wasn't so bad when she was little but at 30 plus pounds it was getting to be a
work out, not to mention how funny it looked me trying to carry that big goof
lol.
Anyways as this is getting a little long I'll just end with saying that we
love love love, our Lexi, she is everything we wanted in a pet and more.
She came to us well behaved and oh so sweet, and it's evident in abundance that
she started out in a home, and that much care is put into your breeding
program.
Sincerely,
Sylvia and Donald Basque
P.S. Congratulations to Spencer and Prada, I'm sure that they
are going to be another amazing litter of puppies

Just wanted to let you know that Hershey is doing really well! He
has been accident free for a whole week and I even left him alone in the house
for an hour with no problems. He didn't even harass the bird while I was
gone! (I set up my iPad to video the living room while I was out). He
sleeps in my bedroom at night. Last night I left the door open all night
and he stayed on his bed all night. I am going to try leaving him loose
tonight for a couple of hours while I am out to see how he does.
He had another play date with Choco yesterday - they are quite a pair when they get
together! They seem to enjoy playing with each other. I take him to
obedience class once a week, he seems to enjoy interacting with the other dogs.
He is still calm most of the time but loves to run after his ball and go
for long walks.
Hershey is growing so big - he is 33 lbs, and about 21
inches to the shoulder! I was wondering at what age the reach their full
size?
I will send some pictures next week once my husband is home.
Keeping my fingers crossed that they get along.
Hershey is such a joy to have around! I can't imagine my home without him now!

Hi Wendy,
I hope you guys are all well.
We are in love with this
puppy! She is so wonderful, she had a great night and has been hanging out
with the big dogs all day, in and out of the house. We took her to the
beach today and thought you might like to see the pictures. She is best
friends with Hiro and tries to do exactly what he is doing all the time.
It's precious. thank you so so very much, we adore her.

Hi Wendy,
Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you. We meant to email
much sooner.
Novak is doing really well...he's a very good boy; being very curious and
full of energy.
I'm sending you pictures of him that were taking 2 weeks ago after his
first haircut. Last Monday (the 18th) we took him to get neutered, so I
wanted to let you know of that (not sure if you need the certificate, please let
me know). We weighed him at the vet and he's close to 25 pounds now.
We also started puppy school at Doggone Pawsitive...we've only been to one
session (having to skip a few sessions because of his surgery). Everybody
keeps telling us how such a good boy that he is, and how he listens well.
He's such a charmer, even if he can be a handful here sometimes. He
has all the basic commands down path, and the training is going well. We
are also looking forward at starting daycare so that he can spend some time with
his sister Izzy.
As per your request for a testimony, all we can say is how we were
extremely pleased with the adoption process, your overall support and
availability to answer any questions we had before, during and after the
process. Considering that Novak is our first dog, it was reassuring to
know that you were there if we needed help. You raise great dogs that are
strong, healthy and great companions. We had so many comments about how
beautiful that he is, and people just coming over to ask what kind of dog he
is...he often gets mistaken for a doodle. We correct them and say he's a
standard poodle, and can educate them on the breed at the same time. I
would not hesitate to recommend you as a breeder of choice, and please do not
hesitate to give my email as a reference, if someone is asking for it.
That is it for now...we hope that everything is well on your end.
Please let me know if you need more information, or a copy of the
neutering certificate.
Regards,
Philippe and Shelley

Hi Wendy!
I just wanted to let you know that Myla is doing well. She had her soft
cast removed today and although she is to ``take it easy`(ha- the vets words),
she should be good as new before long! She is now 25lbs and still thinks she is
a lap dog! We cannot believe how quickly she is growing...everyday she gets
taller and we have released her collar at least 4inches since she came home.
She is a darling pup! She charms everybody with her loveable personality! She
is potty trained and rings the bell to let us know she wants out! Sometimes, I
want to throw the bell out when it is nice out because she LOVES the outdoors!
LOL! In-out-in-out-in-out!!!!! We love her so much and continue to be thankkul
for the wonderful start in life she had!!! I recommend a Standard Poodle to
anyone who will listen, and tell them all about Sportsman Standard Poodles!

Hi Wendy,
Thank you for your email. Everyone here is doing fine. Charlie is working
out great. At 14 weeks old he is already house broke. My wife has set up a
sleigh bell at the door and when he wants to go out he hits it with his paw. I
find him incredibly intelligent for a pup this age. He follows basic commands
with out any difficulty. He is very sociable with our cat and dog. Charlie has
been a great addition to our family. I would highly recommend a Sportsman
poodle to anyone who is looking for a pup.
Thanks Wendy!

Hi Wendy, Len and Jade,
How are you? We are doing well. We are so happy with Myla
coming to our family. Every night Aidan lies next to Myla and
tells her how "fortunate" and "lucky" and "blessed" we are to have found her.
We often think about how our family just wouldn't be complete without her!
Thank you, and Prada and Spencer, of course for taking such good
care of her.
She is growing so fast. We remember our first family meeting with
her...her eyes weren't even open and she fit in the palm of our hands! Now, at
11+wks, she is 16lbs!!!! She LOVES to play ball, especially
outside in the snow! On nice days, she takes walks with us and does amazing on
her leash. We started obedience class with her...she is the youngest and is
pretty distracted, but at home she sits, goes down, and stays, on command, as
long as there is a reward to be had!!! Haha! She is doing well
with her potty training overall.... we take her out A LOT but still has
accidents at times...perhaps because of the cold! When we do bring her out, she
goes "outside" (our command to "go") pretty much on demand! She is pretty lazy
all day, but come 6pm, we better be ready to play!!!! Haha! She
gets a little wild in the evening, but with these extremely cold days, we
certainly understand! The boys are equally crazy, so it all works out!
LOL! She kennels like a dream!!!! We have NEVER had an issue...
sleeps all night until the first person is up, and goes in when we are out, or
having a family meal. She often sleeps in there during the day, so I think she
finds it comforting!
Anyways, we are loving her and she seems pretty content with her life too!
Oh, I have bathed her a few times without any problems and this week, she had
her first "spa"...she did GREAT! I was a little envious!!!!
We think of your wonderful family often and cannot tell you how
Myla has changed our lives.... we are blessed!!!!!

Hello Wendy, Jade and Len,
I must tell you how Kinsy is doing; he is such a wonderful addition to our family,
he loves playing, running, swimming, fetch, soccer and so much more. He adores
the children and they adore him, he is especially attached to Kaili he likes to
follow her where ever she goes, sometimes he can be so silly, I think he
believes he is a child, he tries to go on the swings on our swing set and tries
running up the slide like Kaili does, he has also went on their skateboard a
couple of time when it was left in our drive way.
It is almost daily that we have someone complimenting us on how beautiful Kinsy is
and how well-mannered he is, some of these people are complete stranger, at the
beach, on our walk, at the park, in our front yard, they all just love him. I
have highly recommended you to a few of them that have asked where we purchased
him from.
I often think of you all and am grateful for the gift you have given us, we can't
imagine life without him, he goes everywhere with us, he even goes for a nightly
jog with Michael. He has brought so much joy and happiness to our family, we
will be forever grateful!
We wish you the best!

Hi Wendy,
Wanted to send you a quick update on Sunny this evening. He is being a very good boy and his potty training is coming along. He now knows to go to the door to go outside, but he hasn't yet mastered
controlling his bladder so he does have the occasional accident right there by the door if one of us
isn't on pee patrol. I am pleased he is putting two and two together, and mishaps don't bother us in the least; they are expected.
Today was a big day! I took the three boys to Sackville where Beau was scheduled to do his therapy work at the Drew Nursing Home. One of the residents there really gets great therapy by taking Beau for a
walk, so I allow him to usually at the end of my visit. Well today I decided to let him take Beau and I would take Sunny on my visits. Hank had gone to his "Grammy and Grampy's" house to visit! Everybody loved Sunny and one of the old gals, who only leaves her room to walk Beau, came out and walked with Sunny and me! He was a charmer, for sure. I know he will be awesome as a therapy dog! By the time we do our
certification, he will be a master at it.
Sunny and Hank have bonded quite strongly and they pretty much ignore poor ol' Beau. I am afraid that Hank will be very lonely when he leaves next Friday. He has had quite a life here and now to top it all
off with a best buddy, well life is pretty good.
Dave has succeeded in having all three boys sit beside him while he is eating, waiting for their tidbit. He says he is teaching them patience and he does have a valid argument there! Sunny has learned very
quickly that the sound of the toaster popping means treat time with Dad and he comes running through the dining room. It's too cute.
He sleeps with us through the night and really likes to cuddle up to us. When I got home from work this morning at 1:30, he
was snuggled right up next to Dave with his head on his pillow even!!
Wendy I want to thank you for the smooth transaction during our purchase of Sunny. I appreciate your comments on his personality and it enabled us to make sure he was a good match. We were very
lucky!! It is quite apparent to us that you care tremendously about your little pups and give them all the TLC you can. Having read the other testimonials during these last two weeks, I now fully understand what
the other owners are talking about. Sunny arrived calm, loved, and well on his way to being a well-trained and well-mannered pup.
We will stay in touch with updates
:o)
Paula and Dave

Left to right is Hank, Sunny and Beau, all out for a walk with Paula and Dave. Sunny is fitting in well and melting a lot of hearts.
Hello good friends, Wendy, Len and Jade,
What a pleasure it was to meet you! You have all certainly touched our hearts and are such a
wonderful family, we have never met a more kind and giving of themselves family then yours.
We really hope to take you up on your offer and will visit you again in the future, when we can.
Without a doubt I will highly recommend you to anyone who asks. You have done such
a wonderful job, with raising the puppies as well as your other amazing dogs. We were very
surprised to see how well behaved they were, no barking and no jumping, just gentle beautiful dogs
and puppies, very well mannered! Thank you for taking the time to go over all the papers with us
and answer all of our questions, as well as making us feel at home during our visit!
Kinsington (Kinsy) has already won a place in all of our hearts and in everyone's hearts he
meets. He is adjusting surprisingly fast! He is a very fast learner and is becoming a little gentleman.
He loves to go for walks and had his first bath yesterday! He is napping right now, and in the nights
he sleeps in our room on his bed, he is wonderful through the night, no whimpering at all! He is also
house training very well. He absolutely loves playing with his stuffed toys, especially the ones that make
noises. I swear he seems to be growing every day!
Thank you for inviting us to call or e-mail you if we ever need any advice or help, that is
really comforting. We can tell the reason you are in this business is for your pure love of dogs, and
wanting to give others the opportunity to spend their lives with well rounded, gentle Furever friends. It
even shows in the process you went through to find a well-mannered, and behaved Sire. We plan on keeping in
touch, and will send more photos and write you again soon. Thank you from the bottom of our heart!

wonderful family, we have never met a more kind and giving of themselves family then yours.

"We purchased Kyra from Wendy's May 5th, 2012 litter off spring of Moses and
Prada. Wendy put great thought into a father to produce beautiful and calm
puppies. Along with Wendy's and Jade's constant loving attention we brought
home a well rounded puppy. Wendy spends time laying the ground work for crate,
house, collar and leash training. Her attention to Kyra shows as each day I
see what a wonderful puppy she is. I have never seen an 8 week old puppy know
their name so well and come when called. I can truly say no one would be
disappointed purchasing a puppy from Sportsman Standard Poodles. Thanks Wendy"
Hi Wendy,
We just wanted to thank you and Jade for the
wonderful experience of purchasing our new poodle,Bella. She has already
melted our hearts and brought many a smile to our faces. We found your
method of raising the pups in your home as part of your family has set them
up for an easy transition into ours. It was great to meet you,Jade and all
of the pups at 4 weeks. It was plain to see that you and Jade took a great
deal of pride in making sure we were welcome and the new pups were well
cared for. We were also very impressed with the updates, photos and videos
as the puppies grew. It certainly helped us with the time and excitement
that had to pass before we could pick our Bella up. We would certainly have
no problem reccomrnending Sportsman Standard Poodles to anyone wishing to
purchase a very top quality poodle for a pet!!Thanks again
sooo much and we will stay in touch to keep you and Jade posted on Bella as she
grows.
Sincerely Yours,
Mitch and Linda

Hi Wendy,
I just wanted to touch base and say hello, and let you know what a
pleasure
it was to come and meet you all, and meet our new puppy. The
home
environment that all three of you are providing is exactly what we
hoped for leading up to
taking our new puppy home. We are really
excited to have "Finnigan" come home
with us and we're glad that he'll be
conditioned for the usual day-to-day
happenings in a household.
Prada is
a beautiful and well behaved, friendly dog, and we hope that's
good
sign of what to expect with "Finnigan", with a hard and dedicated training
regime ;)
I'm not sure what this weekend looks like, but if we are able
to come down
for a visit, I'll give you a call to see when would
work.
All the best, and we'll be in touch!
Chris

Brooke is settling in to her new home amazingly well. The work Wendy put into the pups is evident, she was so well on her way to being trained we couldn't believe it. She goes outside every time. She puts herself to bed in the kennel, and even chews the designated chew toys!! Brooke is a real treat, I hope the other pups are settling in just as well.By Tony H at 7:08pm

Sophie is doing great! Only had 2 accidents in the
house so far, we just didn't bring her out soon enough. She asks to go
outside once in the middle of the night and goes right back to bed. She
has already been to the vet and everything was good! She started doggy
training last night. She gets tired pretty early in the evening so after
about 30 minutes she had had enough so she just came at my feet and fell asleep.
Hopefully next week she will be able to stay awake a bit longer. The
trainer said that if she stayed that calm that I was quite lucky. She is not too
crazy about her crate yet but she is getting used to it. She is quite
adorable and we love her very much!

When I decided I wanted a standard poodle, the next step was to find a breeder
as close to my hometown as possible. I thought I would have to go as far as
Quebec but when I searched for available puppies in NB, I came upon
Sportsman Standard Poodles. I was invited to visit the puppies, pick
one and visit at least once a week so that the one I chose would get to know
me before I took her home with me. The puppies are in the family home
where they get lots of attention from their young daughter and are exposed
to a normal home environment. We are very pleased with our choice to
get a puppy from Sportsman Standard Poodles and would not hesitate
recommending them if you are considering getting a standard poodle. Suzanne D.
